I had the top down on the Audi yesterday, and it’s February! All this warm weather has me thinking Mojitos. A cousin to the Mint Julep, the Mojito originated in Havana and was reported to be one of Ernest Hemingway’s favorite drinks. Here’s how to make a perfect one:
Two ounces of light rum
One fourth ounce of simple syrup
Half ounce of lime
Two and a half ounces of club soda
Mint sprigs
Place mint sprigs and simple syrup in a highball glass with juice from half a lime. Muddle the ingredients. Add ice and rum. Stir well. Top with club soda.
Enjoy!
